This project, spanning 76,800 square feet, offers a mix of residential, live/work spaces, and ground-floor retail—all in the heart of a growing, vibrant community. Last week, Cascadia Development Partners had the privilege of visiting the new Portland International Airport Main Terminal - thank you, ZGF Architects! The mass timber lattice ceiling creates an incredibly open space, and the future greenery will add a calming, natural touch. It's all designed to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the Pacific Northwest as you wander through, and to say ZGF hit their mark is an understatement. My favorite design aspect is the stunning ceramic tiling, which beautifully depicts local flora. It's fantastic to see that all materials used are sourced locally, truly reflecting our region's unique character. This terminal will provide a wonderful first experience for travelers arriving in our city. I can't wait to experience this elevated travel environment come August!
