The local rescue team in Machu Picchu, predominantly volunteer firefighters, put the Cascade Rescue Terra Tamer and Professional Series Litter to use earlier this year during a rescue training session with the team at 360 Rescue LLC and Marin County Search and Rescue. The area is hilly, uneven and in certain areas pretty rocky, but the Terra Tamer eased the carry outs during the training, making things safer for the rescuers, and for the patient in the litter. Earlier this week, Cascade Rescue had the privilege of attending the Army Aviation Association of America Cribbins Air Readiness show in Huntsville, Alabama alongside dozens of military personnel on Veterans Day. Showcasing the AWR 9 and AWR 90 certified StableFlight Heli Rescue Complete Operational Package, we had the chance to chat with many of the pilots, hoist operators and flight medics who have come to rely on the StableFlight for the safety it provides to Army National Guard flight crews and patients alike. The 4th Iberian Mining Rescue Trophy (TIRM), an event that was organized by the Iberian Mining Rescue Committee (CIRM) and EASTAV GLOBAL S.L.U, a Spanish customer of our parent company Harken Safety & Rescue, took place in Seville this week. The competition tests the best mining rescue teams in the Iberian Peninsula. One of the scenarios focused on rescuing three people in a tunnel with the aid of stretchers.
