WOW! Ich bin immer noch total überw?ltigt von Sonntag. Schon die Nominierung als einer der 7 Finalisten für die "Goldene Nase 2024" war eine riesige Freude für mich. Dass ich tats?chlich zum Business Angel des Jahres gew?hlt wurde – damit h?tte ich nie gerechnet. 1000 Dank an alle, die mir ihr Vertrauen geschenkt haben! Ich freue mich riesig und wei? es sehr zu sch?tzen, dass nicht nur meine Arbeit als Business Angel, sondern auch mein Weg und meine Art, zu investieren und mit Start-ups umzugehen, gewürdigt wurden. Ich bin nie den Weg gegangen, den die meisten gehen. Stattdessen bin ich meinen eigenen, oft ungew?hnlichen Weg gegangen – schon bei der Gründung von Omikron w?hrend der Schulzeit, sp?ter auch mit FACT-Finder. Als ich FACT-Finder 2021 verkaufte, fing ich neben der Gründung von Casablanca.AI auch ernsthaft mit dem Angel Investing an. Und jetzt, kaum drei Jahre sp?ter, wurde ich zum Business Angel des Jahres gew?hlt. Inzwischen sind es 18 Investments geworden. Aktuell halte ich 11 Startups im Portfolio. Ein weiteres ist zugesagt. Mit meinem Team investiere ich Zeit, Erfahrung und unser Netzwerk, um die Beteiligungen wirklich weiterzubringen. Die Startup Future Days sind ein Beispiel dafür – ein Event, das wir jedes Jahr organisieren. Unsere Portfoliounternehmen kommen zusammen, tauschen Erfahrungen aus, machen Workshops zu wichtigen Gründungsthemen und helfen sich gegenseitig. Und dabei geht darum, eine starke Community zu schaffen, die sich gegenseitig bereichert und gemeinsam w?chst. Ein gro?es Anliegen ist mir dabei das Vernetzen und der Erfahrungsaustausch, um voneinander zu lernen und Best Practice Beispiele zu kommunizieren – nicht nur zwischen meinen Portfoliounternehmen, sondern auch innerhalb der Angels Community, etwa als Initiator des "BAND Frequent Angels Clubs". Ohne mein tolles Team w?re das alles nicht m?glich! Wer in Mainz dabei war, hat Roxane kennengelernt, die meine Startup-Investments managed. Christoph hat dieses Jahr ebenfalls stark mitgewirkt und baut nun ein spannendes Projekt in einer meiner anderen Firmen auf. Und natürlich meine fantastische PA Wenke, die mir nicht nur stets zur Seite steht, sondern mit ihrer Erfahrung als Projektmanagerin dafür sorgt, dass die Startup Future Days ein voller Erfolg werden.
