For our next #humansofcasaforkids is Monique! She is one of our incredible CASA Advocates! ?? She is from Lansing, attending Lansing Everett High School before attaining her undergrad and master's degree from Central Michigan University (fire up chips!). Monique found CASA for Kids through a personal connection to a current staff member, then, "I had no idea what CASA was so, restless at 3 am, I read everything on their website and was in awe. I have always considered being a foster parent and imagined this would be a good opportunity to gain insight before pursuing." This may be the only time we are grateful for restless nights! ???? She has shared she "strongly believes it takes a village and wants to be a part of that village for others"!
