Exciting news for San Ysidro: A $33.7M grant from California’s Strategic Growth Council recently awarded will support Casa Familiar's Avanzando housing project, bringing 103 new rental units—101 of which are affordable—to the community. This transit-oriented development offers residents easy access to essential transportation options along with an array of infrastructure improvements to the surrounding area. With this grant, part of the state's Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program, we’re building a more connected, sustainable future for San Ysidro, empowering over one hundred families to thrive with affordable and connected housing.
