Pregnant women, and children new-born and up to 3 years of age can be registered for our educational home visiting services. Casa Central is located at 1343 N California Ave in Chicago. The Adult Wellness Center celebrated Valentine’s Day in style on Friday. Participants dressed for the occasion, read poems, shared memories and (of course) danced the afternoon away! To schedule a visit or to learn more about the Adult Wellness Center and enrollment, call 773-645-2487.

Kids in the Early Learning Academy Center-Based program celebrated Valentine’s Day with some of the men in their lives! Participants spent some quality time making cards and other arts and crafts — and many of them dressed in pink and red for the occasion. Thursday: Participants from the Adult Wellness Center teamed up with kids from the Early Learning Academy to decorate cookies! Food is something we all have in common. Sharing experiences with food fosters a feeling of togetherness and can help develop positive attitudes between people of different backgrounds and generations. Participants at the Adult Wellness Center enjoyed some fun, games and laughs on Tuesday morning. A wide array of physical activities allowed them time for gentle, monitored, full range of motion exercise — according to each person's comfort level and ability. Movement and exercise like this can stimulate circulation and ease the symptoms of arthritis. Plus: musical chairs, throwing beanbags, playing ring toss and mini-basketball is just plain fun! Volunteers from the Latin Alliance ERG from BMO U.S. visited the Adult Wellness Center on Friday to spread some Valentine's Day love. Participants designed and decorated their own personalized cards using arts and crafts supplies donated by the visitors. Thanks to all the volunteers for taking the day to help our participants have fun, get creative, and prepare for the holiday.
