SpaceTech has launched and Colorado is a top three geography for innovation. We have one of the top Aerospace Programs in the world, the Air Force Academy and the Space Force headquarters. Seven of the largest Aerospace companies are either headquartered or have a major presence in Colorado. Our startup and scaleup ecosystem is on fire. Cody Moore of Caruso Ventures will present an overview of the landscape of Colorado’s SpaceTech industry, and Brad Bernthal, Executive Director - Silicon Flatirons Center of University of Colorado Boulder will host a panel with three of our scaleups: Chris Pearson, CEO of Agile Space Industries, Rachel Kelley, VP of Aircraft Development of Radia, Inc., and Matt Shieh, CEO and co-founder of Canopy Aerospace. On a related note, Dan Caruso will be launching his new podcast, which will feature the Colorado Deep Tech industry. One of the pods that will be dropped is with the CEO of one of Colorado’s leading SpaceTech moonshots.??

Last month, Voyager Space announced it has been selected by Lockheed Martin to support the delivery of an advanced solid-propulsion subsystem for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s Next Generation Intercepter (NGI) - the nation’s new homeland missile defense capability. The NGI will protect the homeland against limited long range ballistic missile threats from rogue nations. The possibility of an international weekend trip is on the horizon! Boom Supersonic is on a mission to bring supersonic travel to the 21st century with their Overture Airliner. Earlier this week, Boom's XB-1 aircraft successfully executed it's second flight, retracting and extending its landing gear in flight for the first time while also successfully demonstrating a new digital stability augmentation system. Last week, Colorado was named the winner of the Quantum Hub bid. Specifically, the U.S. The Department of Energy EDA announced Elevate Quantum was awarded $40.5 million as a Tech Hub II grant. The federal grant secured an additional $77 million from the state of Colorado and $10 million from New Mexico. The $127 million in funding solidifies the US by way of the Mountain West at the forefront of the quantum revolution. Beyond national security needs, quantum has vast capabilities that will forever change our world and lead us to the next level of technological evolution. This funding will be used to create Quantum centers to support innovation and collaboration amongst engineers, inspire entrepreneurs and attract investors. We’re ecstatic to establish Colorado as the home of Quantum, and Caruso Ventures is a proud investor of Quantum companies: Atom Computing, Infleqtion, Maybell Quantum, and Vescent.
