Continuing on with our focus on National Apprenticeship Week, today we’re highlighting Technical Sales Apprentice Jordan Adams, whose initial role with the company was as an Apprentice Technician, which led to a full-time Technician B position here. Jordan first learned about Carter’s Apprenticeship Program through friends working at other Carter stores and said he was attracted to it because of all the certifications it offered, as well as the opportunity to have a long, meaningful career at Carter. Outside of work, his hobbies include fishing, working on cars, watching football, and playing golf with family.

As our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week continues, today we meet Rodrigo Carrillo, a Technical Apprentice at our Manassas, VA, store. Rodrigo learned about Carter's Apprenticeship Program from a career website and said he was interested in it because of the opportunity it gave him to apply his skills in a meaningful way, the chance to grow professionally, and the impact he could make through the work. “My favorite part of the program is the hands-on experience it offers, allowing me to learn in real-world settings while developing valuable skills in one of the best companies in the world,” Rodrigo shares. Outside of work, Rodrigo’s hobbies include movies and video games.

Our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week continues today with the spotlight on Justin Rogers, a Rental Sales Representative for our Power Systems Division in Richmond, VA. Justin completed our Sales Apprenticeship Program, a year-long, state-accredited program that combines virtual learning and on-the-job training and awards participants with a certificate of completion as a Sales Representative. Justin learned about Carter’s apprenticeship program through a family friend, and said that our reputation – as well as the program’s depth that gives him the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed – attracted him to apply. “My favorite part of the job now is all the different applications and jobsites I’ve seen that I would have never thought of before,” Justin says. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends back home, as well as golfing, hiking, and going to the beach.

To continue our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re featuring Logan Payne, a Field Technician Apprentice at our Princeton, WV, store. Logan learned about our apprenticeship program through the Department of Defense as he was transitioning back to civilian status. “This is a job I've always wanted to do,” Logan says. “I like being somewhere different every day and working on all the different equipment.” In his spare time, Logan enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Continuing on with National Apprenticeship Week, we're shining the spotlight on Brenna McCurnin, an Apprentice Technician at our Richmond Construction Shop. She said she’s working on machines that she never could have imagined, and that she really loves the educational environment and forgiveness while she learns. Outside of work, Brenna enjoys fishing and nature, and is also working on her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University.
