Each quarter, she selects a key area of focus to guide the company forward while stepping in to support various projects as needed. "When I first became CEO, the weight of responsibility for the team and company felt isolating," Liz shared when asked about the most rewarding aspect of her role. "It took time to build the team we have today, where we stand shoulder to shoulder, rowing in the same direction and holding each other accountable." Liz’s favorite flag is the Don’t Give Up the Ship flag. To her, it embodies the tenacity, perseverance, and resilience that define America. This Veterans Day, Carrot-Top Industries was honored to give back by volunteering for 99-year-old WWII Veteran, Dorma Holt. Drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944, Mr. Holt bravely served in the Battle of the Bulge and helped liberate a concentration camp in Mauthausen, Austria. Last Friday, team members from all departments—from our CEO to marketing, customer service, and the warehouse crew—came together at Mr. Holt’s home to repaint his front and back porches, rake leaves, and tackle other outdoor projects. After hours of work, we capped off the day by replacing his old flag and flagpole with our signature Presidential Set, ensuring his flag flies tangle-free. It was an incredible experience hearing Mr. Holt's story and honoring his service in a meaningful way.
