To mark the 200th anniversary of this inspiring but often overlooked moment in history, the American Friends of Lafayette is bringing it back to life with reenactments in cities he visited. In Mobile, AL, they created a beautiful arch decorated with high-quality stick flags from Carrot-Top, one for each of the 24 states Lafayette traveled to.
