?Hola LinkedIn Family! As I reach the halfway point of my penultimate semester in undergrad, I wanted to share a few highlights from this past summer (better late than never!): ?? I completed an eight-week fellowship with the Southern Education Foundation (SEF), where I was placed at Every Texan, a nonprofit based in Austin, Texas. During the fellowship, I created a one-page fact sheet on the importance of the Supreme Court case, Plyler v. Doe (1982), which ruled that public K-12 schools cannot charge tuition to undocumented students. I also analyzed the social and economic benefits of investing in immigrants' education. I'm thrilled to share that, as a result of my work during this fellowship, I received the SEF Ginny Looney Servant Leader Award, along with a $2,500 scholarship. Learn more about the award here: https://lnkd.in/eWnhrEHe ?? Immediately after completing my SELI Fellowship, I began the LíDER: Carolina Leadership Institute Fellowship with the Carolina Latinx Center. I’m honored to have been selected from a pool of 68 applicants to join a diverse cohort of 21 Fellows, representing 7 colleges and universities across North Carolina. I’m excited to continue growing as a leader, developing new skills, and finding ways to serve my community even more effectively. ??? Thrilled to announce that I was featured on the UNC School of Education website! As a senior in the Human and Organizational Leadership Development (HOLD) program, I have been equipped with crucial skills in research, leadership, and organizational analysis, which I applied during my transformative summer fellowship with the Southern Education Leadership Initiative. I'm honored to share my journey, hoping it inspires others to explore careers in educational equity.?Check out my feature here: https://lnkd.in/eZBSASFD ???? As I head into my final year of college, I’m excited to also announce that I’ve been chosen to serve as Recruitment Chair and Vice-President of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc., Senior Advisor of Mi Pueblo at UNC (UNC’s largest Latinx student organization), and Co-Founder/Public Media Chair of Latinx in Law at Carolina. I’m grateful to my teammates and members in these organizations for trusting me to help lead and support our community, and I look forward to working together to help these organizations thrive! ?? Thank you, Amber C. Davis, Ph.D., Asley Gulaid, Jaime Puente, Marcela Torres-Cervantes, Kevin Ortiz, MBA, and my family and friends for always supporting me in my endeavors. I wouldn’t be where I am right now without you all.?

Long overdue update! This past May, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a minor in Data Science. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported my journey — as a First-Generation student, I could not have done this without you. Special shoutout to the Carolina Latinx Center for being a home away from home these past four years. I am excited to announce that I have joined Microsoft as a Customer Success Account Manager! I would like to thank William Gonzalez and Trevor Suarez for their support during these past few months. I look forward to the start of this chapter in my professional career!
