“Electron Free” Aerial Test Capability CUV can provide an airborne testing capability that may save you or your customers’ time and money. Many companies and government agencies have to conduct airborne electronic testing.?This airborne EMC and EMI testing can be complex, expensive and time consuming. ?Airborne device testing often involves accounting for multiple onboard interference sources.?These include UAS RF control links, navigation equipment and even engine electronic noise.?Platform integration with aircraft or UAS can take weeks, resulting in significant cost and time loss. Carolina Unmanned Vehicles can simplify and reduce the cost of some airborne testing with our in-house mobile aerostats.?The aerostats have no onboard electronics so payloads can usually be integrated onto the “electronically quiet” aerostats in few hours. ?These mobile aerostat systems can support testing in North Carolina, or anywhere in CONUS. See the attached Quad Chart and Briefing for information on our testing available capabilities.?The Quad Chart gives a quick overview and is useful in presentation to management.?The briefing provides more detailed information including potential test schedule requirements. If interested in more information please contact Mike Rogers, [email protected]. Thank you.?

Last week at the AFCEA Technet at Fort Liberty We presented a concept I call Elevated EW Emitters For Effectiveness and Survival (E4S). It proposed that future US EW systems must (1) cover more ground for each system, and (2) remove the easily targeted emitters away from the valuable, vulnerable and manned vehicles.?This can be done by elevating the emitters for more coverage and far enough from the command vehicle so that they are not destroyed if the emitters are struck.?Mobile tethered UAS and trailer mounted aerostats can accomplish this mission.?Greater effectiveness and survival will result.??A copy of the presentation is attached for those interested in this concept and might help us move it forward

I will be presenting a paper jointly with Walter Szczepanski of Helios Remote Sensing Systems, Inc at the Fort Liberty Technet in February.?It is titled "Elevated EW Emitters For Effectiveness and Survival" and addresses using elevated sensors and jammers to improve forward area ESM coverage and increase survivability of the critical manned EW vehicles. ?Hope to see anyone interested there. #Technet, #AFCEA, #aerostat, #ESM, #EW, #jamming
