Carolina Unmanned Vehicles is planning to submit against an AFWERX RFP.?It is a Direct To Phase II SBIR. Our planned proposal with be for adapting our Expeditionary Aerostat System (EAS) family of tactical aerostats to provide air defense warning and Counter –Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability to forward airfields.?It will support the USAF Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concept.?Ground based sensors, limited but Line Of Sight (LOS), cannot provide adequate warning to the bases. Urgent - Need Academic Partner For STTR Topic on C-UAS We need an academic partner for the STTR Topic N25A-T016: Persistent Airborne Counter Unmanned Aerial System Surveillance. We have the platform they need but need an academic partner with C-UAS sensor capability. The submission is due 5 February so the need is urgent.

Many companies and government agencies have to conduct airborne electronic testing.?This airborne EMC and EMI testing can be complex, expensive and time consuming. ?Airborne device testing often involves accounting for multiple onboard interference sources.?These include UAS RF control links, navigation equipment and even engine electronic noise.?Platform integration with aircraft or UAS can take weeks, resulting in significant cost and time loss. Carolina Unmanned Vehicles can simplify and reduce the cost of some airborne testing with our in-house mobile aerostats.?The aerostats have no onboard electronics so payloads can usually be integrated onto the “electronically quiet” aerostats in few hours. ?These mobile aerostat systems can support testing in North Carolina, or anywhere in CONUS.
