Yesterday I had the honour to host the Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) Parliamentary Reception to celebrate the economic and wider contribution of our iconic brands P&O Cruises and Cunard and to commemorate the launch of Cunard's Queen Anne earlier this year. It was a brilliant opportunity to focus on our commitment to the economy, environment and our people, ensuring we are growing in a sustainable way. I would like to thank our speakers Lord Andrew Mawson, Maritime Minister Mike Kane, Mark Dickinson Nautilus International and Rhett Hatcher UK Chamber of Shipping for their partnership and support for the event. The reception took place at the House of Commons and brought together our key stakeholders: local MPs and MPs from our UK ports, Peers, industry leaders and policymakers to highlight the critical contribution of cruise, and Carnival UK in particular, to our economy and society and to preview a new independent economic impact study. With the wellbeing and development of our people a core belief of our company, I was also delighted to welcome members of our crew and cadets from our fleet.
