On October 19th, 2024, the Carmelite System Inc. partnered with the CaringKind Walk in Central Park to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Ozanam Hall of Queens, represented by Ana Tagle and Ina Salley, joined hundreds of participants in the walk. Trish Gathers, President and CEO, spoke about the system’s commitment to dementia care and support and she is looking forward to new unit at Ozanam Hall, funded by the NYS transition grant and Cabrini Foundation. The event united caregivers, advocates, and the community in support of compassionate care for those affected by Alzheimer’s. At the Carmelite System - “The Difference is Love" with the mission to bring dignity and quality of life to the care of seniors.
