To continue our tradition of combining a volunteer activity with our end of year holiday celebration, this week Carlson Environmental, a Nova Group, GBC Company volunteered at the West Suburban Community Pantry.?The Pantry serves those with food insecurity in the southwest suburban area in a very dignified and respectful way.?We spent the morning stocking shelves, cleaning and organizing.?You could tell that the volunteer staff at the Pantry really enjoy helping the community in need, and we hope to be back in the future to do it all over again.?In addition to our volunteering efforts, Nova Group, GBC made a generous monetary donation to the Pantry! We then headed over to the Windy City Curling Club for food, drinks, and to try our hand at curling.?This was a really fun experience, and Windy City provided fun instructors to help us learn the game.?While we are not yet ready for the Olympics, we are pretty sure this is not the last time we will curl. It was so nice that Joannie Hennen and Maegan Dunn came down from Nova’s headquarters in Minneapolis to join in on both activities.?It was also great seeing Tiyana Latham, MBA.?Thanks for making it!
