At Carlsberg, we are working with regenerative agriculture as it develops. This is how we can help create positive changes. We hope that more companies will follow suit so that we can create demand and, thus, greater security for farmers considering using regenerative methods. One of the biggest barriers to the spread of regenerative agriculture is the lack of standard definition or criteria to work with. This makes it challenging to promote a particular method if there isn’t clear alignment?on what it encompasses. When we talk about transitioning to using only regeneratively farmed raw ingredients in our beer by 2040, this is how we define regenerative farming,?accepting that local exceptions may be needed????? #RegenerativeAgriculture #Regenerative #Farming

This is the official LinkedIn channel of the Carlsberg Group. The Carlsberg Group was established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen. J.C. Jacobsen was a true renaissance man. A believer in quality, research and serving the community, he shared his knowledge with fellow brewers. He looked to the future, prizing long-term growth over short-term gain. Today, Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Our beer portfolio spans core beer brands, including local power brands and international premium brands, craft & speciality brands and alcohol-free brews. It's not a given that cans and bottles are "returned home" to a supermarket for recycling when empty. Especially not in countries which lack robust collection and recycling infrastructure. But. That's not a reason to not take responsibility. We are working towards a 90% collection rate for recycling in countries where we sell products. We're currently at 76% ?? Taking responsibility for what happens with bottles and cans after consumers enjoy a beverage is part of our work to achieve ZERO Packaging Waste. Deposit return schemes are a proven way to encourage consumers to recycle bottles. They involve charging consumers a deposit on bottles and cans, which is refunded when they are returned to be reused or recycled. In 2024, among other things, we brought together the strategic packaging collection leads from all EU markets to learn more about these schemes. ?? Carlsberg Group has been awarded European Bottler of the Year 2024 by PepsiCo recognizing outstanding performance and our strong partnership. Spearheading the growth is Carlsberg Sweden, which has been on an incredible run of market share wins and has seen an impressive double-digit volume growth over the last three years. Pepsi Max is now the largest Carbonated Soft Drinks brand in Sweden. But the coveted award also recognizes the strong strategic partnerships of Carlsberg and PepsiCo beyond Sweden, including the longstanding growth journey in Norway, our commitment to build the Swiss business, and our significant investment in Britvic plc. With this year’s acquisition of Britvic, Carlsberg Group currently is the bottling partner for PepsiCo in seven markets worldwide: Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, GB, Ireland, Cambodia and Laos. Next year, we will add two more markets to the mix, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. #Pepsibottler #SoftDrinks #AccelerateSail

Our Laos business will reach its net-zero emissions target five years ahead of schedule! Lao Brewery Company is taking a step towards a greener future with a new biomass energy factory. Developed in partnership with VN Green Energy Company, the new biomass facility will replace fossil fuels with steam at the Vientiane Brewery - reducing our dependence on fossil-fuel generated energy. This initiative aligns with the Lao government’s push for renewable energy adoption and contributes significantly to Carlsberg Group’s ambition of net-zero brewing by 2030. "LBC’s transition to biomass energy is a fantastic example of how our breweries can take steps to reduce emissions and create lasting change," our CEO, Jacob Aarup-Andersen, said when he attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Laos this month. "Carlsberg is committed to setting new standards in sustainability across all our markets, supporting global and local efforts to drive a low-carbon future," he added. ??
