We were honored for the opportunity to have Adam Zweig our Assistant Vice President of Engineering, as a featured presenter at the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors annual conference in Hershey, PA earlier this month. The PSLS exists for the purpose of supporting, improving and enhancing the profession, its members, and the practice of land surveying. Adam hosted an extensive forum and discussion on permitting, construction and safety for surveyors when working with and around railroads!

It may be COLD and snowy outside, but our dedicated team of railroaders are still on duty and working hard to deliver your freight on time and safely. Our valued customers can greatly assist in this effort by taking a few simple steps to "winterize" their rail facilities: -Make sure customer gates, sidetracks, crossing flange-ways, and walking areas are clear of snow, ice, and debris and properly salted to ensure safe walking conditions for rail employees. -Make sure customer operated switches, rods, frogs, and derails are properly maintained and swept clear of snow and ice, and that switch banners are visible. -Make sure drainage for snow melt is not blocked and frozen over. -Check to make sure buildings and structures don't have clogged gutters and are free of icicles that would be impacted by cars being spotted to your facility.
