On Friday morning, the Chamber hosted the State of the County Breakfast. We had the opportunity to hear from Commissioners Kelly Neiderer, Jean Foschi, and Gary Eichelberger about the committees they are currently involved with, along with updates on significant matters such as the housing crisis and the budget. Throughout the program, we were also able to address several questions from the audience. On Friday, the Chamber hosted our first EPIC event of 2025, presented by UPMC & The GIANT Company! This first session in our 'Turning Setbacks into Comebacks: Learning from Failure' series was about Critical Conversations. After a networking activity about 'hot takes' sponsored by Members 1st Federal Credit Union, the attendees had several dynamic discussions about how to plan, execute, and follow up a crucial conversation. Check out some highlights below from our panel - Dr. Colleen Friend from Carlisle Area School District - "we should be viewing failure as a change of direction, not a dead end" Kate Deringer Sallie from Pillar+Aught - "it shouldn't be a blanket approach.
