  • You've heard the news that the 2025 International Public Library Fundraising Conference will be held June 8-10 in San Diego, CA. What makes this conference special is that we learn from one another. We have become a "community of practice," and our planning committee wants to hear from you with your session proposal! Please submit a session topic you would like to share with your public library fundraising peers. We're interested in lessons learned as well as any pain points experienced. Your session must be tailored to libraries, Foundations, and Friends groups rather than other nonprofits. Case studies are always well-received.   • Did you know the original District of Columbia Public Library was created over 125 years ago, in 1896? Over the decades, the library has undergone location changes, name changes, and extensive growth to become the system it is today. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, the only library designed by Mies van der Rohe, was established in 1972 and designated as a historical landmark in 2007. The library recently underwent a $211 million modernization that includes a rooftop garden, a kid’s slide, a recording studio, and more. We are so excited for IPLFC24 to be hosted here!
