2024 has been an incredible year for CargoB, the first on-demand electric cargo bike share outside of Europe. CargoB was hatched out of the lived experience of two neighbors; busy working parents sitting around the kitchen table thinking about ways to make city living easier. We hit the ground running in 2024. In the 7 months since launching, we’ve: ?? Added 700+ registered riders in the Boston area ?? Replaced 1,650+ miles of urban car trips with our small pilot fleet The coming year we'll increase our fleet size and service footprint through partnerships with city governments, regional transit agencies and institutions. Over the past 15+ years, bikeshare has set the stage in US cities, redefining how we move around for short distances trips. Now, CargoB is taking the next step and thinking about how we go beyond getting people on shared mobility and asking, in the name of building sustainable cities, how do we KEEP them on bikes, even for those times when they actually need to haul heavy loads? Happy to be a part of the conversation of building more equitable, livable and viable cities here in the US.

CargoB is proud to be a Women Business Enterprise, making transportation mode shift possible for new scores of people with diverse needs and responsibilities. In under 7 months, we have launched a growing fleet of shared electric cargo bikes and are on track to scale up by next spring.
