Scientists tracked nearly 90,000 people in the U.K. who spent a week with wrist-worn activity devices equipped with light sensors. Then, they analyzed their risk of dying over the next eight years. The study participants with the brightest nights had a 21% to 34% higher risk of premature death, compared to those who were mostly in the dark between midnight and dawn. The opposite was true for daytime. People who enjoyed the brightest days had a 17% to 34% lower mortality risk than those who were in dim environments during the daytime. https://lnkd.in/gmZ6e8Au

Boosting your gut microbiome diversity isn’t just about feeling good—it’s linked to a longer, healthier life, emotional regulation, and cognitive ability. A more diverse gut strengthens your immune system, reduces disease risk, and even improves mental well-being through the communications with the vagus nerve between gut and brain. https://lnkd.in/g7f_gKSC

Coming soon, your own digital twin! Digital-twin diagnosis.?A Duke University professor has developed a digital twin for human circulatory systems that enables doctors to measure artery pressure noninvasively and predict changes in blood pressure, notes?Quanta Magazine. interesting description of the aging brain. As much we’d like to think life happens in a regulated linear experience, that may be a fiction based upon our simple conception on time. This article suggests that rather than a smooth distribution, we might more expect fits and starts https://lnkd.in/g99bANHy
