We’re excited to announce that Dr. John A. Freeman, a highly respected urologic oncologist, has joined CareTech Human as an investor during our recent preSeed round. His support, expertise, and belief in our mission mean the world to us. Dr. Freeman’s impressive journey began at the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his urology residency and fellowship at the University of Southern California before leading the Urologic Oncology program at the University of North Carolina. For nearly two decades, he has been at the forefront of robotic-assisted surgeries for urologic cancers in Reno, NV. Clinical Trial Update: Patient Enrollment Now Underway! We are pleased to announce that CareTech Human, in collaboration with Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, has successfully passed the IRB approval phase and is moving forward with patient enrollment for our clinical study. This study aims to improve the assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms in patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, an important step toward improving treatment outcomes. We are exhilarated to share that Dr. Gary Grossfeld, MD, MPH, has deepened his commitment to CareTech Human by not only joining us as an advisor but also investing in our innovative solution!? Dr. Grossfeld’s belief in our mission is evident through his significant contributions of time, expertise, and now financial support. Dr. Grossfeld brings unparalleled experience to our team! Previously, we shared that Dr. Grossfeld did his urology residency at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and subsequently completed a urologic oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco where he remained on faculty. He authored or co-authored more than 100 scholarly articles and book chapters. Dr. Grossfeld continued his urologic practice in the San Francisco Bay Area after which he obtained a Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School, where he also successfully worked as vice president of a health education start-up. Dr. Grossfeld more recently worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb in oncology drug development, leading large teams and evaluating external assets for co-commercialization and merger and acquisition. Dr. Grossfeld’s decision to invest in CareTech Human highlights the transformative potential of our health monitoring device and reinforces our commitment to revolutionizing health care through seamless, passive monitoring.
