Every day, CareOregon helps hundreds of thousands of Oregonians get the care they deserve. But good health is more than health care. That’s why we invest in programs that help people get housing, healthy food, job training and more. Our members’ lives touch countless other lives. And when they are stronger, we are all stronger. That’s the CareOregon Effect.

We greatly appreciate CareOregon supporting Oregon community health centers by sponsoring the keynote address by Colleen Meiman to provide a federal policy update. For 30 years, CareOregon has offered health services and community benefit programs to low-income Oregonians on the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). They help OHP members access physical, dental and mental health care and substance use treatment. CareOregon supports the needs of some 500,000 Oregonians through three coordinated care organizations, a Medicare Advantage plan, a Tribal care coordination program, a dental care organization, non-emergent medical transportation services, and in-home medical care with Housecall Providers. Thank you again for sponsoring OPCA's 2025 Annual Conference! #OPCAOurPCA #ValueCHCs #Registernow

[Recap and Recording] Safeguarding Health Equity & Social Support Programs in the Face of 2025 Federal Reductions Our expert panel brought together Trey Sutten (Co-founder of Siftwell, former CFO of Medicaid North Carolina), Dr. Brooke Parish (Executive Medical Director for HCSC), Lori Tishler MD MPH (Chief Medical Officer at Community Health Options), and Jeremiah Rigsby (Chief of Staff at CareOregon) for a candid discussion on navigating healthcare funding challenges. Rather than merely lamenting budget cuts, these leaders shared real-world approaches for maintaining member services when resources shrink. The conversation revealed how plans can leverage community partnerships, data-driven decisions, and strategic investments to preserve care quality despite financial constraints. We’ve distilled their key insights below, but encourage you to watch the full recording for deeper understanding ?? https://lnkd.in/gXjSY5-6 See you on the next one!
