As a physician led company, we are especially interested in AI and the impact it will have on our healthcare system. This article explores how—if implemented correctly—AI has the potential to extend the care physicians provide and may help mitigate provider burnout. Machine learning is already capable of helping providers with imaging, diagnosis, and treatment. Soon, AI may be able to help medical professionals even more by making administrative tasks more efficient, allowing providers to spend more time caring for their patients. Crucial is that AI doesn’t replace the essential role of physicians and other providers in the healthcare system. Interesting article discussing the potential that Generative AI may have to address issues with healthcare access and affordability. In Deloitte’s 2023 health survey, 53% of patients said they feel that AI may make healthcare more affordable. Additionally, a majority of patients with experience using AI see it as reliable and feel that it has the power to change how healthcare is delivered. The survey also found that 4 in 5 consumers were concerned about transparency.
