The Story: After struggling through challenging circumstances, the individual was recently relocated to the Roanoke area in an effort to provide her with a fresh start. However, due to the nature of her move, she had to leave almost all of her personal belongings behind. Without family or a strong support system, she’s facing the difficult reality of starting over with almost nothing and on a fixed income. While she is doing her best to adjust to her new environment, but the lack of basic essentials is making daily life extremely challenging. She is in urgent need of everything from furniture to household items, clothing, and more. The Need: Our goal is to provide her with the support she needs to furnish her apartment and create a stable, comfortable living environment where she can focus on her health and well-being. Items that are urgently needed include: Furniture (bed, couch, chairs, tables) Kitchen essentials (pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses, utensils) Lamps and lighting Winter Coat - clothing (coats, boots, gloves, scarves) Basic household items (bedding, towels, toiletries) The When: We have until Friday 11/22/24! With no support system, she is in desperate need of two tires for her vehicle so she can return home, which is two hours away. Additionally, she requires a prepaid phone for her safety during her trip.
