CareFlite is a Texas, nonprofit 501(c) 3 corporation governed by a Board of Directors with representatives from Texas Health Resources, Methodist Health System, Baylor Health Care System, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and the JPS Health Network. CareFlite is a nonprofit entity committed to high-quality patient care and community service. CareFlite is the only fully-integrated medical transport company serving North Texas. Established in 1979, CareFlite is the nation's eighth-oldest air medical transportation service and the second-oldest in Texas. CareFlite began with one helicopter shared between Methodist Dallas Medical Center and Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, transporting about 20 patients monthly. In 1981, CareFlite began operating a ground ambulance division in Dallas to support the helicopters and provide non-emergency transportation to hospital patients. CareFlite’s Ground Ambulance Division has bases in the following counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hill Johnson, Palo Pinto and Parker. CareFlite operates 911/EMS services in the City of Burleson, Hill County and Kaufman County.

??What an incredible week at the Texas EMS Conference held at the Fort Worth Convention Center?? It was fantastic connecting with everyone, sharing stories and showcasing the vital work we do. A special thank you to all who stopped by to learn more about CareFlite and check out our ambulance and helicopter up close. We also celebrated a big milestone: CareFlite’s 45th anniversary! ?? It’s been over a decade in the making but the day has finally arrived! CareFlite is proud to call Terrell and Kaufman County Home for one of our helicopters. Today we had the pleasure of officially unveiling our hangar with the Coty of Terrell and Terrell Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau! Thank you to all who came out to celebrate and an even bigger thank you to all of those who made this possible!
