We were proud to sponsor and send our #DifferenceMakers to the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy event. For this year’s event, dental clinicians provided services to hundreds of Eastern Shore residents over the two-day clinic. Eastern Shore communities encounter daunting transportation challenges and provider shortages when seeking care. The Mission of Mercy event, one of many held throughout Maryland communities, helps bridge gaps in access to care and helps improve health outcomes. We’re looking forward to supporting the health and wellness of our Eastern Shore community with our partners again soon. #CareFirstCares

This 9/11 our #DifferenceMakers joined the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI) and Break A Difference to kick off the next cohort of the Maryland Corps/Service Year Option with a volunteer event for The Maryland Book Bank. Hundreds of volunteers assembled bags with first responder-inspired books, first aid kits and other supplies to honor first responders and educate Maryland youth about their unwavering commitment. This is the beginning of many volunteer projects the cohort will participate in. Our Vice President and Chief of Staff Lester Davis, along with Gov. Wes Moore, warmly welcomed the cohort and other volunteers, emphasizing how the journey the cohort is embarking on will deeply impact Maryland communities and their future success. We were excited to join DC Bike Ride for the eighth year in a row this past weekend. With over 9,000 riders in attendance and thousands of outstanding supporters, this was one of the best rides yet! We're proud to support this annual event that offers a unique, healthy way to enjoy the District's historical landmarks. We’re excited to partner with the Maryland State Dental Association Foundation to foster opportunities to improve health outcomes for our Eastern Shore community. Eastern Shore residents can receive free dental services at the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy event this Friday and Saturday, starting at 7 a.m. Maryland-credentialed dentists, hygienists and clinicians will be onsite providing dental care and essential dental education to participants.
