?? Success Story Spotlight: Tonya! ?? Tonya came to Career TEAM in December 2023 facing significant challenges. She was unhoused, unemployed, and reliant on others for transportation. Despite those circumstances, Tonya's determination and resilience sparked a remarkable journey! Tonya worked with her Career Advisor, Samantha Bradford on job readiness skills such as resume building so that she would be prepared for the job market. In January 2024, Tonya became employed at the Chamber of Commerce. This opportunity, supported by WIOA funds, allowed her to gain valuable on-the-job experience while earning an income. Since then, Tonya’s life has transformed. She secured an apartment, transportation, and dedicated herself to learning all about the operations of the Chamber. Tonya has since become an integral part of the team, assisting with event planning, social media management, and membership services. Now, we are thrilled to celebrate Tonya’s latest achievement of obtaining a full-time position as the Chamber’s Executive Assistant/Office Manager! This success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of WIOA funds and her Career Advisor, Samantha! Her story is a testament to the power of determination, community support, and the right resources. Congratulations, Tonya! We are so proud of your incredible progress and excited for your bright future. ?? #SuccessStory #CareerTEAM #WIOA #TransformingLives #CommunityImpact #HardWorkPaysOff
