CareerSpring would like express our most sincere thanks to the volunteer Advisors in our Network for all the time and effort they put into helping out #FGLI students. We wouldn't be here without the amazing advocates and Employer Partners that help us grow our volunteer base, and in turn grow the impact we have on our Advisees. THANK YOU! We recently hosted a #volunteer day with D Magazine for their staff to film videos about their careers for our Video Library. They welcomed CareerSpring's Gretchen Richter and Sophia Stoller to create Career Videos, where our team recorded with professionals across their company, from editors to graphic designers–exposing Advisees to a variety of new career paths in the creative industry. After this experience, Will Smith of D Magazine shared, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with CareerSpring…With many first-generation students in Dallas, we are excited to provide job and internship opportunities and further our mission of making Dallas an even better place—a goal CareerSpring helps us achieve.” We are so grateful for their collaboration in this initiative and to all who volunteered their time to provide new resources for CareerSpring Advisees! Visit www.CareerSpring.org/news to read more about this partnership and the difference we're making for #FGLI students and graduates across the United States.

CareerSpring Advisors play a crucial role in the career development of our Advisees, offering valuable advice and building their professional networks. For Advisor Nigeria Poole Bloczynski she chose to go above and beyond for Advisee Kristian Reed, a recent graduate from Spelman College. Kristian learned about CareerSpring through Education Partner, EMERGE, and was intentional about how she approached conversations with Advisors such as Nigeria. Through her professional network, Nigeria secured tickets to Commodities People’s Houston Energy Trading Conference for Advisees and advocated for CareerSpring to be selected as a Charity Partner for the conference. When asked about what this partnership means, Commodities People's Managing Director, Ben Hillary shared, "Opening doors to the industry for students, especially those who are first-generation or from low-income backgrounds, is essential to building a more inclusive future…we aim to connect emerging talent with today’s industry leaders, fostering insights and conversations that nurture the next generation in commodities and energy trading." Following her conversations with Kristian, Nigeria knew she would find this opportunity valuable and worked with the CareerSpring team to extend the invitation. Kristian said of her experience at the conference, “Thanks to CareerSpring and the mentorship of Nigeria, I had the opportunity to network and grow as I prepare to launch my career. The conference broadened my understanding and strengthened my skills in data analytics and risk management, providing a strong foundation for my next steps.” CareerSpring is extremely grateful to Nigeria Poole Bloczynski, Ben Hillary, Jessica (Jonah) A., and the entire team at Commodities People for opening their doors to CareerSpring Advisees for such a unique, real-world opportunity. Visit www.CareerSpring.org/news to read the full story of Nigeria's impact and Kristian's experience.
