Our team is growing! We couldn’t be happier to announce that Martin Medeglia has joined us as our new Director of Finance and Accounting. Originally from Uruguay, Martin has built an impressive career over the past decade, leading teams and driving financial strategy across various industries. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to Care+Wear and will play a key role in our growth. When he’s not crunching numbers, here are some fun facts about Martin: ???? He’s a die-hard Nacional Uruguay fan ?? His favorite NYC spot? Washington Square Park ??? He speaks three languages! We’re lucky to have him with us - welcome, Martin!

We had the privilege of showcasing our products at Fight Colorectal Cancer's Resource Expo at Call-on Congress, where survivors, caregivers, and advocates came together in Washington, D.C., to make their voices heard. Colorectal cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in the U.S. - the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and the fourth in women. That’s why events like this are so incredibly important. They bring people together to demand change, push for better policies, and fight for those impacted. We’re grateful to stand alongside this amazing community, supporting their fight and doing our part to help.

When the JDJ Charitable Foundation reached out to Care+Wear, they wanted to honor James Blauvelt's mother in a way that reflected her spirit. She loved elephants, so we worked together to create a special version of our NICU bodysuits featuring her favorite animal. Last week, our team joined the foundation as they donated 1,000 bodysuits to the babies at Lenox Hill Hospital. ?? ?? We’re honored to have played a small part in this moment, helping these tiny warriors and their families feel a sense of comfort and normalcy during their time in the NICU.

Wow, what a treat it was to have Paul Coyne, Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Hospital for Special Surgery, join us for our Fireside Chat! Our team was in awe of Paul’s contagious positivity and his powerful reminders on how to keep pushing forward, no matter the challenges. He took us through his inspiring journey into healthcare leadership, and we even got to hear one of his poems – plus, a live rap performance too! Thank you, Paul, for sharing your wisdom and energy with our team. We all left feeling extra motivated after your time with us.

For our most recent team fireside chat, we were joined by two special guests: Cindy Machles and Alan Rothenberg from Glue Advertising and Public Relations, pioneers in healthcare advertising! Some key takeaways from their time with us: ?? The best campaigns are driven by patient-centric insights that create authenticity. ?? AI and globalization are shaking up the industry, offering both exciting opportunities and challenges. ?? Own your career by “playing the green” meaning always compete with yourself to continuously improve. ?? It’s important to give clients what they want, but don’t be afraid to think outside the box and push creative boundaries. And, of course, they couldn’t leave without sharing their expert takes on the best (and worst) Super Bowl ads!

The Care+Wear team always looks forward to our monthly fireside chats, especially when we have incredible guests. Last week was no exception! Julia Bernstein, COO of Brightside Health, sat down to speak with our very own Kelly Gardiner. They discussed everything from the current state of behavioral health to leadership growth, agility, and how she balances it all. Some key takeaways: ?? In today’s fast-paced, policy driven world, staying agile is essential for success. ?? The focus must always be on delivering high quality for everyone, no matter where they are in the system. ?? Continuous improvement is key! Iteration is more important than innovating. ?? Take time to reflect and keep perspective, both personally and professionally. ?? Empower your team, stay solution-oriented, and network with purpose. Thanks for joining us, Julia!?

Last week, we teamed up with Hydra Health to host our first Care+Wear Recharge Station event at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System!? We loved seeing nurses, clinicians, and hospital staff browse our scrub collection and discover for themselves how comfortable and durable our scrubs are! The afternoon was filled with chair massages, sweet treats (shout out to Madis Coffee Roasters for the cookies), coffee, and plenty of shopping. Thank you to everyone at HUP who joined in on the fun and made the event such a success. Want us to bring the Care+Wear Recharge Station to your hospital? ?? Drop a comment below and let us know where you'd like us to go next!

This past Wednesday, our team had the opportunity to volunteer at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in NYC! We spent the evening hosting trivia, connecting with great people, and passing out some of the best pizzas in town (thanks to Joe's Pizza for delivering)! More than just a fun time, we left feeling truly inspired by the strength and resilience of the individuals we met. Thanks for having us American Cancer Society, we’re already looking forward to next time!
