“For a Better Future” highlights voices advancing research across the nation. Care Access is known for solving complex clinical research challenges in novel and unique ways. We’ve increased access to research studies for previously unreached and excluded communities, marshaling dozens of custom-built research sites and hundreds of mobile units across the globe. What you might not know is that we work extensively at the grassroots level. We help people across the country (and around the world) learn more about their health and research opportunities. Future of Medicine, our grassroots membership program, lives within communities and provides free health screenings, information about clinical trials that might be relevant for our Members, and other education and services. Through Future of Medicine we’ve partnered with local community leaders, and over 100,000 people have now participated in screenings for health risk factors where high-priority clinical research is happening. To help move our industry forward even further and foster productive dialogue, Care Access develops long-form content, including this 9 minute film. Through the Future of Medicine program, we work with hundreds of communities each year to make health screenings, education, and other health-related services more available to more people across the nation and beyond. Care Access has partnered with Saint Paul's San Pablo Episcopal Church to make Future of Medicine health screenings available to all residents of southeast Houston in a trusted and welcoming space. Care Access has partnered with the City of District Heights, Maryland to open a Health & Research Center within the District Heights Senior Center in the City’s Municipal Building. As part of Care Access’s ongoing mission to expand access to health and research services beyond traditional healthcare venues, this effort establishes a permanent presence in the heart of the District Heights community and where no-cost health screenings can be easily accessible to residents of the Senior Center and to all adults in the surrounding neighborhoods. “We chose to partner with Care Access because of their team’s expertise, experience, and success in engaging with local communities, especially Black communities, on health and research initiatives. This makes Care Access the perfect fit for the community engagement needed to make our Senior Center a future hub for community health and innovation,” said Mayor Cynthia Miller, City of District Heights.
