We’re excited to announce the release of our latest white paper, “Navigating the Future of Direct-to-Employer Healthcare: Strategies for Building and Scaling Employer-Focused Cardiovascular Health Offerings” by Meesha Dogan, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of Cardio Diagnostics Inc. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a significant public health challenge, accounting for 1 in every 6 healthcare dollars spent in the U.S. The American Heart Association projects that by 2050, 61% of adult Americans will have some form of CVD, further increasing healthcare costs. This growing prevalence makes it crucial for employers to find innovative solutions to manage these expenses. Our white paper explores the Direct-to-Employer (DTE) model, which offers a unique opportunity for healthcare providers to partner directly with self-funded employers. This model allows providers to offer targeted cardiovascular health programs that help reduce high-cost claims and improve employee well-being, while also diversifying their revenue streams. Key insights from the white paper include: ? Financial Impact of CVD: Understanding the significant costs associated with cardiovascular disease and its impact on employers. ? Benefits of the DTE Model: How direct contracting between self-funded employers and healthcare providers can lead to better health outcomes and cost savings. ? Strategies for Success: Practical steps for healthcare providers to build and scale effective cardiovascular health programs, including innovative approaches and best practices. This white paper is a valuable resource for healthcare leaders and providers looking to capitalize on the growing opportunity to partner with self-funded employers. By implementing these strategies, providers can form long-term partnerships that benefit both employers and employees, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes and reduced costs. • Did you know that some health tests don’t work as well for non-White populations? The HbA1c test, which is used to diagnose diabetes and assess heart disease risk, doesn’t give the same accurate results for everyone. This means some people, especially in non-White populations, might get diagnosed too late or miss out on care they need. In a blog, our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Philibert, discusses the scientific evidence on the limitations of using HbA1c to detect diabetes. ?? The number of people in the U.S. who died from coronary heart disease related to obesity nearly tripled from 1999 to 2020. Black adults, men ages 55-64, and people who live in the Midwest and non-metropolitan areas had the highest rates, according to an analysis of federal data. Maintaining a healthy weight is one of the 8 keys to heart health, known as Life’s Essential 8. Manage weight by controlling portions, being active, and choosing a healthy eating pattern that includes fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. And don’t be afraid to ask your health care professional for help. These findings are considered preliminary until published as full manuscripts in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

By leveraging innovative solutions, building stronger networks, and advocating for equitable healthcare, we can ensure that every patient, no matter where they live, has access to the life-saving cardiac care they need. The future of healthcare is inclusive and that includes our most remote communities.
