How do I have over 500K followers here (& 100+ recs)?? I speak ‘truth to tech’, share ‘good vibes’, highlight amazing people & companies & have friends in high places. Editor-in-Chief @ Tech For Good. Serial founder/BODs

We’ve entered an age where we can turn our data into podcasts, join that podcast, turn ourselves into avatars, train avatars & agents to work on our behalf, have tech translate our visions into video, & much more all using A.I. IN THIS POST I’LL SHARE MY PERSONAL NOTEBOOK TRAINED ON MY PRIOPRIETARY MASTERCLASS that’s been turned into a ~20 min. podcast that YOU CAN INTERACT WITH (this is like virtual coaching from me — & is totally free) as well as how to make one of your own (free), how to make an avatar of yourself like the one of me in this video, how to make a video like this one with your avatar, a bonus LinkedIn tip or 2 to accompany the free interactive podcast, & also have a little fun breaking down why true experts will have job security for a fair while longer, in many cases. So first off, if you haven’t played with Notebook LM yet – it’s incredible! You can upload any files, videos, documents, both personal & public, & have it turn the compilation into a podcast that you can listen to that’s engaging, that you can actually interact with, turn into a mind map & more. Soon I presume you’ll be able to add a video avatar to make it a vlog, change number of hosts & their personas, have them generate new & unique assets, & more. Try it out for yourself at notebooklm.google.com But also anyone who’s been wanting to level up their LinkedIn profile & growth here can access the notebook I made today https://lnkd.in/d5WMNieR & listen to the ~20 min. podcast that was trained on my proprietary 3.5 hour masterclass I traditionally sell for $750 as well as start all my 1:1 coaching clients with. But what takes this to the next level by an order of magnitude is that you can go into “interactive mode” (beta) & actually become part of the podcast, & speak with the rep hosts who’ve been trained on the entire 3.5 hour video, & seem to have synthesized it quite well. It’s *almost* like working with me! (air quotes, lol) What will you make? Please share your notebooks in the comments, & if you try mine, I hope it works wonders for you! As far as this video (which admittedly isn’t that good, yet - but this was after multiple attempts) you can create your own video avatar of yourself — or use others’ — on a platform called Captions that also can edit them into videos like this one, intended for social media. But the good news for we humans who are amazing at what we do is that the tech isn’t THAT good yet - as this video demonstrates. These tools won’t replace great video producers, creatives, or top-notch coaches & advisors like myself. While I sincerely hope my notebook is incredibly valuable, if you want to see the full video that trained it, & have a 1:1 hour session with me afterwards (finished in comments below) ?? Also, the new Tech For Good came out last night about Notebook LM too: https://lnkd.in/d4YE7huV

We shouldn't judge or book by it's cover (or anything, if we're not judges) but I concede that the cover art for this issue is "not very good", and doesn't really convey what I was going for. The reason is ironic, comedic, timely, and strangely may be comforting - the A.I. isn't very good yet/still LOL! One of the main things I wanted to cover in this issue was how good Google's image generation in Gemini 2.0 Flash experimental is, but after an hour of terrible misses trying them (and also Flux, Dall-e and others to suppliment, back and forth) this banner was literally "the best I could come up with" - and it's from OpenAI's dall-e. Evidently graphic designers' job security is in full effect still, particularly since Canva's A.I. keeps disappointing as well. Chalk one up for the humans! That said, if we can get past the cover, the quick discussion here is to get my larger ("greater") audience up to speed on diffusion LLMs, MCP, and other recent advancements in A.I. that will continue to accelerate the space; we are all best if we're up to speed and on the same page. Please share your thoughts, perspectives, hopes, dreams, concerns, chides at the cover art or - best yet - your better cover art for issue #27 next week. Best cover art submitted will be used and set the tone and theme for the issue. I'm open for a public vote. Feel free to comment with your generations. Thanks for reading, and for being part of the Tech For Good community. #techforgood #ainews #mcp #dllms #qdllm #aimodels #gemini

Augmenting reality, creating seamless phygital experiences

So many of us are ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible with today’s technology—our phones and computers aren’t just tools, they’re gateways to an entirely new digital dimension. The key? Building the right software and knowing how to use it. As a founder in this space, I came across this video and had to stop, watch it a few times, and dig into who built it and how it’s being used (check the credits). I had to share it here—not just because it’s impressive, but because I want to hear your thoughts. What really caught my attention, though, was the overwhelming response in the comments—people asking what software was used, where they can get it, and saying how needed this is. That tells me we’re truly onto something at @, and I’m curious if my network here (who may be slightly biased) agrees. What solutions are you building, using, or looking for? Where do you see this tech going next? Let’s talk—your insights matter. ?? VC: @jack.oliva.rendler, @arthurmodine & @realitymattersvr IG #AR #VR #MixedReality #Tech

With the right training on the right tools, any of us can level up! While we may question what’s real* & what’s not these days, we KNOW that both intelligence & tools are both very real; the combination of the two are literally what’s got us as a species ‘this far’. *yes, like this video of a chimpanzee ice skating better than almost any of us humans can, & YES — this one is real. In the 1960s, a group of chimps were trained for 6 months on how to ice skate & the results are proof-positive that if our primitive ancestors can learn to use tools even in the most slippery of endeavors this well, that we all can. But I digress. The point is that “A.I.” (may be more like ‘advanced intelligence’ than ‘artificial’) IS a tool — one that we humans all now have access to (in many cases for free); the specific tools (various LLMs, text-to-generation, agents) are like the hammers, saws, ice skates. To those reading this — likely you! — who’re on top of all the advancements such as inference, test-time compute, process based rewards, diffusion, autonomous agents, advancements in semiconductors, quantum computing as well as who have their personal ‘tech stack’ of tools they’ve mastered, can use together (& ultimately train agents on) GOOD ON YOU! It will serve you & others well. To those reading this that haven’t yet learned the tools both generally & specifically yet, who are NOT yet ‘ahead of the curve’ I laid out above — it’s ok. It’s not too late. The chimps in this video didn’t know how to ice skate “6 months & a day” before the spectacular performance you’re seeing here, over 60 years later. The various A.I. tools are often their own instruction manuals, & when not, the other models can serve as the same for the others as well. The learning curve & barriers to entry are quite low. If you’re fearful of the tech, you’re not alone. We’ve determined that hundreds of millions of others are as well; this is why we’re building LovingIs... A.I. I also welcome you to check out my (almost) weekly LinkedIn newsletter Tech For Good here https://lnkd.in/d6AT-8fG — I’m honored that so many consider it a way for them to stay in the know. Next issue will highlight Diffusion LLMs (an actually huge breakthrough), untangle fact from fiction regarding Manus AI (“china’s next Deepseek moment” as some are decrying) & where we’re really at with agents & the disruption they could represent. I’m also open to suggestions, feedback, & feature inquiries. Please share your thoughts on all this as well — your opinions, insights, recommendations & comments are more than welcome. ?? Could we humans be the only ones being left out of the global conversation? Likely one of the coolest & most profound posts we’ll see all year — CHECK THIS OUT! It turns out that most (if not all) animals seem to be speaking the same language; this video shows how various disparate animals’ vocalizations are effectively the exact same when sped up/down. In a study, scientists played hummingbird sounds slowed down under water in proximity to whales… & the whales communicated back! Researches have postulated that ancient languages such as Aramaic, Hebrew & Sanskrit resonated with the objects being spoke of — so, for instance, when speaking about a tree, the words/sound made would literally be the same frequency of a tree. Perhaps all animals can actually communicate with one another, & we human (aliens?) are the ones not “understanding” (maybe either “yet” or “anymore”). Something we can look forward to are breakthroughs using technology (A.I.) that may soon help us be able to translate & understand what the animals are saying. It’s also interesting to ponder if perhaps they all already understand us, & even if plants communicate/comprehend as well — they certainly respond well to music! Some fun food for thought, or “sound reflection” for a Sunday. I hope you enjoy it, & the day! ?? (PS: to learn why I had to format this video like this, check the comments. I’m in touch with LinkedIn leadership trying to fix this fairly large problem) ?? VC: @bassforge.us IG #techforgood #ai #nature #biomimicry #communication #comms #universallanguage

Inflection point: We really need to discuss the elephant in the room, & also understand how A.I. tokens works (& is learning how to exist similarly to how baby elephants do). I saw another fellow A.I. influencer post that they asked ChatGPT to generate an image of an empty room without any elephants in it, with screenshots of the images generated, which were of a room that was empty EXCEPT for 2 elephants in it. Since often people cherry-pick what they post, or make claims that aren’t reproducible, I tried it for myself, & well… check the comments for the screenshots of my own personal experience that proved this particular post & poster right. THIS SHOULD BE SO EASY TO GET RIGHT, right! On the one hand, we know that A.I. “hallucinates” & can get things wrong, but the fact that it gets this so wrong may be deeply concerning to some. Much like the baby elephants depicted in this video learning to use their tools (trunks), getting frustrated & effectively acting like toddlers — A.I. is in its “toddler phase” as well. Furthermore, A.I. operates using tokens that effectively predict the next token, so when the prompt contains the word ‘elephant’, it registers as such, making it difficult to comprehend the “no”. Those who’ve studied the L.O.A. or manifestation will find this concept to be a familiar one — when we pray or focus our energy on something we DO NOT want, it will most certainly appear despite our earnest wishes. “The universe will give us whatever we ask for, but doesn’t comprehend the concept of no”, consistent with teaching on the book/movie “The Secret” as well as many other teachings in the genre. Knowing this can actually help us use & train our A.I. tools even better once we’re aware of it. But we likely all are eager for it to “grow up” & be able to “use its water pipe”. Also, I talk a lot about it how to determine if content is “real” or generated by A.I.; I also have cautioned many times that much of what we consume on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok etc. - particularly “faceless videos” are totally A.I. — & this video, regardless of being super cute, is no exception (the video clips are real, but the voiceover isn’t a real human), How can we tell? Well, although it’s getting progressively more & more difficult to discern, untimely timing (vocalization that doesn’t follow actual human speaking patterns), mispronouncation of common words, & articulation of misspelled words (in this video ‘water’ is typoed as ‘wateral’, & the “narrator” says the wrong word, with the “n” at the end — no human being tasked with voicing a video for social media would make this mistake). So, some takeaways: ? A.I. is far from “perfect”, (yet, anyway) ? knowing its limitations, shortcomings & common pitfalls is to our benefit ? being able to tell what’s human & not is a skill we should aspire to ?? VC: @animals.wonders IG although comments say the video is from elsewhere & the voiceover is defintely A.I. as discussed above. #techforgood #ai

A most wholesome video, & a great energy we can all vibe with this weekend. Unity, acceptance, relaxation, nature, & a dash of the unexpected. I often post here about emmersive tech, disruptive companies, changing business models & paradigms, “intelligence embodied”, & entrepreneurship with the goal of facilitating conversations & contributing to the greater conversations that need to be had societally at scale, but I also love spreading good vibes & highlighting amazing people to help others here level-up their businesses, networks, lives & communities. Today seems like a great day to lean into that, so in classic ‘Social Saturday’ stylee, here’s a non-exhaustive list of amazing people to know, follow, collaborate with & get to know. Due to character constraints I’ll keep it going in the comments below, & encourage you to add to the list to help us all level up even more. If we can no longer distinguish between what’s ‘real’ and what’s not — does it really matter? The short answer is: ABSOLUTELY. A reflection: If we don’t know if videos of people saying things are authentic, if we don’t know if the people we’re speaking with (even on video calls) are real and who they claim to be, if we’re not sure if online reviews are genuine, if what we’re buying is really what we believe we’re purchasing, if news stories are accurate etc., the implications are self-evident. Governments and corporates could then get away with anything their agendas require; What we eat, wear, watch could be intentionally damaging/dangerous to our bodies and minds; We could be unaware of significant happening in our world that impact us and that require our action and collective knowledge (outbreaks, asteroid collision, et al); Populations could remain marginalized, scientific research could be suppressed or wrongfully negated; and so much more. With all the new text-to-video and avatar generators capable of deep-fakes, hallucinating models informing our reports, studies, research, outputs… provenance, source-of-truth, and the fabric of reality must remain a top priority (or else). That said, we’ve had parodies, tabloids, doctored video, fake reporting, disinformation, propaganda and deception for generations — perhaps all this is just our current generations’ version of this plight. In my assessment, the best thing we can do is remain informed, diligent, aligned and custodians of our own, free thought and free will. As OpenAI signals that it will release ChatGPT (and Microsoft braces for it; once OpenAI achieves AGI then MS’s stake and control of the company is rendered moot), as Amazon released Alexa+, as compute becomes faster, cheaper and more powerful, as NVIDIA boasts massive sales in its pipeline despite massive loss in valuation, as more models release with their versions of “deep research”, and especially as models become multimodal and agentic — there’s lots that could go very wrong, or very right, in the coming weeks and months. A few pieces of technology I believe have substantial potential to keep everything ‘on the rails’ for our collective greatest good: VRFD? - H2H social media layer in the post-AI landscape Reality Anchor - first anti-deepfake hardware LovingIs... A.I. - personality and inference layer to help onboard the next half-billion humans to daily A.I. adoption safely (and helping overcome fear of it) SHIZA - ILMs (individual language models) and more. I’m almost (90+%) sure that this video of a dog admiring itself in its new pearl necklace is REAL, but I’m 100% sure that it’s cute af and that dogs are THE BEST. One thing I’m most excited for that tech is set to enable is our ability to understand and communicate with canines, and all our animal friends soon. Let’s pray we make it that long! Cheers to US. ?? I help companies grow and exit with a bang, not a whimper. And lots of zeros. with GTBM, Go To Bigger Market strategies and implementation. Oh, and I love Ted Lasso!

We All Love a Good Story! And have a few that stand out no matter how long ago we learned about them. Books, movies, ghost stories around a campfire (yup, I’m that old)—stories stick with us. They make us feel something. They capture our imagination. They make ideas unforgettable. And the best companies? They tell the best stories. Apple didn’t just sell computers. They told a story about changing the world. Nike doesn’t just sell shoes. They tell a story about pushing past limits. Tesla? A story about the future, innovation, and maybe a little bit of madness. Meanwhile, so many businesses today are just pushing out content that goes nowhere. Blog posts, emails, and social media that check a box but don’t make us feel anything. We don’t need more content. We need better stories. Stories that make customers feel like they’re part of something bigger. Stories that connect, inspire, and move people to action. So here’s my question—what’s a story (from a brand, a book, a movie, or even a ghost story) that’s stuck with you? Let’s talk about the ones we can’t forget. ??#Leadership #Revenue #Sales #letstalkrevenue #SMBRevolution #culture VC: thecringe_tv
