What are the FUNDamentals of EU CDR Funding? Are you looking for EU funding to support carbon removal? We give you a rundown?? and a deeper look into how the EU has been funding early-stage CDR ?? https://lnkd.in/gCD7Yetx ? A few things to note ? Funding can address CDR in two ways: by being CDR-specific (directly targeting carbon removal methods themselves) or by being CDR-related (projects that have indirect spillovers to the CDR ecosystem), for example CCS, transport and infrastructure projects etc. ? Funding is available for different technology readiness levels from 1-10/11 (they have different rankings depending on the fund). Each fund supports technologies in different stages of development.? ? There are many other funds that also support carbon removal in indirect ways. A call to all CDR doers ! We are compiling data on the resources needed by the different CDR methods to deliver each net tonne removed. This is to support the bottom-up estimation of countries' potential to deploy CDR, and to create a shared picture for the ecosystem. We’re collaborating with RMI to find out how many resources different CDR methods need to deliver every net tonne of CO2 they remove. With this information, we can precisely estimate different countries’ potential for deploying CDR as part of our Carbon Removal Readiness Assessment program. We can also provide the CDR ecosystem with visibility on this important metric of success: resource efficiency. ? Fear not, we are not looking for proprietary data. We are only looking for basic resource requirements, nothing related to your tech/process. We also plan on aggregating and anonymizing results to make this database a publicly available resource. ?
