HIV Prevention Under Threat The Department of Health and Human Services may eliminate the CDC’s HIV prevention division—a decision that would drastically cut funding for HIV prevention efforts across the country. These cuts could lead to more new HIV transmissions and AIDS-related deaths. Programs that provide testing, PrEP access and support services are at risk, threatening the health and well-being of our community. Caracole staff will be on Capitol Hill next week for AIDS Watch, reinforcing our leadership in this fight.
