Yesterday, the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce hosted its kick-off event for our Love What You Do college mentoring program which pairs juniors and seniors with industry leaders who serve as mentors. As a faculty advisor for UH Kappa Delta Chi-Theta chapter, I was so pleased to see Julissa Banda as one of the mentees in the program. Many thanks to Brandee Rogers for leading this successful event!

University of Houston Law Center held its annual National Mediator Competition this past weekend, and I had the privilege once again to serve as a judge. Congratulations to Alena Wertalik, for winning this year's National Mediator Competition! Alena is from Brooklyn Law School. Congratulations also goes to Anna Eckhoff for her 2nd place finish. Anna is from Texas A&M University School of Law. The semi-finalist mediators this year were Helena Daubourg from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and John Brandon DeVaney also from Texas A&M University School of Law.
