Today I had the wonderful opportunity to tour the Blue Valley?CAPS Network?as a part of Education Strategy Group‘s work with the New Skills Ready Network. In this innovative educational program, students receive real world learning opportunities outside of their traditional classroom settings. I watched students navigate experiences from caring for a patient suffering a heart attack to building video game software. The heart attack patient may have been a mannequin but the problem solving and leadership development were real! It’s always exciting to meet passionate educators who are innovating on behalf of students here in my home city.

We are honored to be selected as a 2025 grantee by American Student Assistance ?? With ASA’s support, we’re scaling Profession Based Learning to middle schools to create more meaningful career-connected learning opportunities for all middle and high school students. This partnership will help middle grade students dive deeper into their self-discovery and durable skills development.
