Thrilled to have Capra's CEO, Elizabeth Onderko, participate in a panel at the White House celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the biomanufacturing-focused Executive Order 14081. This event also announced our new project funded through BioMADE in collaboration with Zhiwu Wang, Ph.D., P.E. and Virginia Tech to develop better bioreactors to convert food waste into high performance lubricants. We're thrilled to continue to work with partners across government and with the BioMaP-Consortium | Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Preparedness Consortium and BioMADE to help build a resilient, sustainable bioindustrial base and help restore the United States leadership in chemical manufacturing innovation.

Capra Biosciences, a portfolio company of Closed Loop Partners' Ventures Group, landed a $7.5 million project agreement to demonstrate how microbes and its proprietary bioreactors can help scale circular manufacturing for pharmaceutical ingredients. “Biomanufacturing has the potential to manufacture many of the chemicals we use today not only more sustainably, but also where and when we need them.
