A non-partisan charitable softball game played by PA lawmakers, raising money for the fight against hunger.
关于我们
The Capitol All-Stars Softball game began in 2013 as a way to bring elected officials together across party lines and celebrate the very reason they ran for office in the first place — To help people. This bi-partisan, bi-cameral game, is played by House members and Senators, Republicans and Democrats, and men and women. The proceeds raised benefit Hunger-Free Pennsylvania and Feeding Pennsylvania, two charitable, non-profit statewide organizations working to feed over two million hungry Pennsylvanians. So far, CASS has raised almost $450,000. These proceeds go into every single legislative district in all 67 counties of the Commonwealth.

Thank you to our wonderful partner, Feeding Pennsylvania for the amazing work you do helping the Feeding America food banks in PA serve so many of our neighbors in need! The Capitol All-Stars Game is a special night in Harrisburg where we all forget about our differences and play together to help the more than 1.5 million Pennsylvanians struggling to provide their families with consistent and wholesome meals. We couldn’t do it without our many generous sponsors and the support of legislative leadership Jay Costa Joanna McClinton Kim Ward -and Rep. Jesse Topper, and members like Emily Kinkead Greg Rothman and Bryan Cutler!
Although the Capitol All-Stars Softball Game was cancelled on account of rain, the game's generous sponsors donated $20,000 to its two charitable partners, Hunger-Free Pennsylvania and Feeding Pennsylvania, in a brief media event in the Main Rotunda of the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg yesterday. From its start in 2013, the Capitol All-Stars Game has raised nearly $700,000 for anti-hunger efforts across the Commonwealth. Sadly, Pennsylvania continues to see high rates of food insecurity – as high and even higher than it?was in the early stages of the pandemic. There are more than 1.5 million Pennsylvanians struggling with hunger, about 25% of them children. The charitable food network is strong in Pennsylvania, but it needs everyone’s help to ensure that all Pennsylvanians have the dignity of sustained access to healthy meals for their families.
