H2terminals Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cadent Gas Limited to bring green hydrogen to industrial users across East London and beyond. As part of the Capital Hydrogen programme, this partnership aims to accelerate the transition to low-carbon energy across London and the Thames Estuary. ?? Fantastic news for the East London Hydrogen Pipeline (ELHP) as it secures a new hydrogen producer for the project! Cadent has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with H2terminals Limited to supply hydrogen through the ELHP to industrial users. H2Terminals will generate green hydrogen using wind, wave, and solar energy at their offshore Energy Island project in the North Sea. This hydrogen will be distributed through the ELHP for use by industrial users across the pipeline. This news marks another exciting milestone on the pathway to providing low carbon hydrogen to end-users across London and the East of England. Their goals: ? Carbon Reduction: their ECOPact concrete offers a carbon reduction of 30% to 100% ?? Circular Economy: over 1.6 million tonnes of construction materials were recycled in 2023 ?? Nature-Positive Commitment: their nature strategy aims to make the company nature-positive by 2030 ?
