Congratulations to LAYC Career Academy Public Charter School, Academy of Hope Adult PCS, and The NorthStar Institute on this innovative partnership to provide high-quality education, job training, and financial planning to 2,500 ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) students, setting them on a path to financial independence.
“There is power in being able to say ‘I know the system of money and understand how it works’,” Williams shared. “With the right resources and proper planning, you can take a good income and turn it into intergenerational stability.” The Community Foundation's Health Equity Fund is proud to partner with The NorthStar Institute - a new financial well-being partnership aimed at closing the racial wealth gap by helping members of the ALICE population at LATIN AMERICA YOUTH CENTER LAYC CAREER ACADEMY and Academy of Hope Adult PCS turn income into assets. https://lnkd.in/emKXSF5m

Thanks Compass Pro Bono for an engaging and enjoyable day at your #SorkinSummit and for all the work you do helping to strengthen nonprofits. I'm so pleased that C4C is partnering with you to provide capacity-building services to our grantees.
I had a wonderful time at the #SorkinSummit yesterday hosted by Compass Pro Bono! It was an honor to serve on the panel "Optimizing Board Engagement in the New Normal" alongside Susan Krause Bell, with our fellow co-panelists Jillian Eid, Executive Director of Girls on the Run-Chicago, and their former board chair, Joan Trimuel Williams. It's always inspiring to share the New Futures story and connect with colleagues across the Compass Network. Such a great event - thanks Compass team for a fulfilling day!
