We love aspirational education goals, and completing the spaces that support them. Capital College & Career Academy (opened for 9th graders in 2023) reimagines both place and purpose, offering a free public charter high school in Sacramento with college prep and training in the #AEC trades. We worked with Studio W Architects, F&H Construction, and CCCA Founder Kevin Dobson to reimagine an existing high-end retail/showroom space into a learning environment to support the students on this unique journey and the dedicated staff that guide them on their journey, with innovative design solutions, and comfortable, adaptable, functional furniture for indoor and outdoor spaces. First season of boys soccer is in the books! We did not have successful season in terms of wins and losses. For us victory was in coming together, learning how to play the game, getting better and we sticking together as a team. Sometimes the victory is in showing up and competing! I think if could be a youth soccer coach full time I would. What a great way to see young people grow, develop and build strong relationships. Go #CCCA!

Earlier this year, Health Education Council received a grant from SAFE Credit Union to provide financial education for youth and adults in various languages as well as $100 stipends towards a savings account for youth. Last week, Health Education Council, SAFE Credit Union, and Capital College & Career Academy (CCCA) collaborated to teach high schools students at CCCA how to budget, through an interactive activity, Budget Cents created and facilitated by SAFE Credit Union. HEC also selected 20 students to receive $100 stipends towards a savings account. This week, SAFE Credit Union had the pleasure of engaging with Capital College & Career Academy a new and innovative school in Sacramento. In partnership with the Health Education Council, we hosted our Budget Cents program for CCCA’s freshman and sophomore classes. It’s always incredibly rewarding to connect with #youth and help equip them with financial skills that will benefit them throughout their adult lives. If you haven’t heard of this school yet, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a fantastic facility with a meaningful mission, dedicated teachers, and—most importantly—happy students

SMUD Board Member Rob Kerth and several SMUD team members had a great morning planting trees at the Capital College & Career Academy campus with the City of Trees and our longstanding partners at the Sacramento Tree Foundation! ?? ?? We're proud to share that over the last 30 years, SMUD has planted more than 600,000 shade trees in the Sacramento area, in partnership with the Sacramento Tree Foundation!

Support a great cause by participating in our upcoming mini golf tournament at Haggin Oaks. This fundraiser supports our off campus career exploration opportunities and strengthens the local construction pipeline! We are the only local high school fully focused on the construction trades.

Honored to be recognized alongside Studio W Architects and F&H Construction by the Sacramento Business Journal as the Best Real Estate Projects of the Year - Urban Community Impact. Our main campus facility has revitalized an entire city block and provided an innovative learning space for our students. Thank you to all who made this project possible!
