Mission Statement: Cape Verdean Basketball Association of America (CVBA) is a non-profit organization in the sports industry providing comprehensive resources, elite training, and exceptional programs to empower young Cape Verdean Americans to achieve their full potential through basketball. Target Audience & Service Description: Young Cape Verdean Americans who are interested in basketball and seeking resources, training, and programs to help them achieve their full potential on and off the court. The CVBA combines basketball-specific training with cultural exchange, to empower and inspire elite youth basketball players to pursue college scholarships, professional basketball careers, and represent Cape Verde on a global stage. The organization also seeks to cultivate a sense of pride and identity among young Cape Verdean Americans and bring the Cape Verdean community together through basketball. Business Model: CVBA is a non-profit organization that generates revenue through sponsorships and partnerships, donations and grants, membership fees, tournaments and events, and licensing and merchandising. We partner with aligned companies, organizations, and entities to create additional revenue streams for the organization.
