Another Citi Field Braai (BBQ) in the books! Last weekend on a perfect Saturday we were able to braai for 80 of our clients, distributor partners, family and Cape Classics team. Long ago we realized that the standard wine-portfolio-show-at-a-hotel concept just didn’t excite anyone. Why not use that budget to show real gratitude to all of those that support Cape Classics and all we try to do? We had custom made boerewors (South African farmer coiled sausage), peri peri chicken, freshly ground lamb kofta, braaibroodjies (an actual wood fired grilled cheese) and garlic butter shrimp, all fired on proper wood braai. Even better, we had our entire South African and French portfolio, so everyone could learn about them while relaxing pre-game. It’s our favorite event of the year, reminding us that the magic of a great wine portfolio is the ability to use that platform to bring people together and connect. Wine, Food, Friends & Fire, it’s a fantastic tradition. Light your braai (a Weber will do just fine), pull some corks and bring together those you care about!
