My favorite quote from EDTECH WEEK "Innovation moves at the speed of trust" --Jim Larimore In education, especially, I find this to be true. You can develop the most innovative, amazing product with research to prove efficacy and it will never grow in use beyond the pilot without a go-to-market strategy anchored in building trust. Often, the people who are great at the research are not going to know how to scale it's use and so we have amazing products that don't get used. Later, Luyen Chou sort of pushed back on the "speed of trust" piece when I shared the quote because AI is going to keep growing in use - with or without building trust. If we ignore it, kids will figure it out on their own, like they did with social media and we all know how well that turned out. I think that's also true. So, as EdTech leaders, we must all focus on building trust with educators around AI to ensure kids aren't left figuring this out on their own.

For anyone who has ever struggled with an LTI integration - you will want to follow this development! 1EdTech Consortium has always worked with members to develop standard specifications, but they are documents, and documentation is often interpretted differently by organizations during implementation. With the introduction of testing harnesses that are built into the certification process, a learning tool can create and verify their LTI app much easier and providers will have an easier time integrating tools. Congratulations to Blaine Helmick and the entire 1EdTech development team on this latest beta release!
