Celebrating 50 years of providing hope, healing, and recovery to the people we serve.
关于我们
Canvas Health is dedicated to offering hope and help to children, adolescents, adults, the elderly and families who struggle with aging, transportation, chemical and mental health, and domestic and sexual abuse. Initially established as a community mental health center in 1969, Canvas Health has grown to become one of the most distinctive private nonprofit human service centers in Minnesota. We are community-driven and believe that the vitality and stability of our communities rests on the strength of the individuals and families within them. When those with life impairments are helped to live more freely, we are all lifted up. When we help families and individuals recover from mental illness, chemical dependency, physical and sexual abuse, the world becomes a better place for us all. When we help seniors to live independently and troubled children to remain at home and in school, we help restore the fabric of family and community life.

We're proud to partner with the LIVIN Foundation to facilitate QPR suicide prevention trainings. These trainings, and these amazing people, save lives.
???? I would like to extend a huge shoutout to LIVIN Foundation for hosting this FREE SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING with Canvas Health and QPR Institute. If you are looking for more ways to become involved or would like to attend one of the free QPR Trainings, look no further: https://lnkd.in/g29wn6yg The QPR Gatekeeper Training, a program designed to equip individuals with the skills to recognize the warning signs of suicide and intervene effectively. This certification emphasizes the importance of early recognition and open conversations about mental health. By learning to Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR), I am now better prepared to support those in crisis and contribute to a culture of proactive mental health awareness. ?? Just as CPR is used to save lives in physical emergencies, QPR is a crucial tool for saving lives in mental health crises. ?? Early Recognition of suicide |?The sooner warning signs are detected and help sought, the better the outcome of a suicidal crisis will be. ?? Early QPR |?Asking someone about the presence of suicidal thoughts and feelings opens up a conversation that may lead to a referral for help. ?? Early intervention and referral |?Referral to local resources or calling 988 for evaluation and possible referral is critical. ?? Early Advanced Life Support |?As with any illness, early detection, and treatment results in better outcomes. Stay alive, my friends. I'm here if you need me. #mentalhealth, #livinfoundation

Three of Canvas Health’s former Doctoral Interns, Noreen Raja, Psy.D., Natalia Witkowska, Psy.D., and Bria Haynes, Psy.D., collaborated on a poster session for the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) 2025 Conference. Their poster and presentation, titled “Cultural Perspectives on Treatment Approach and Outcomes in a South Asian Patient with Significant Cognitive Decline: A Case Study,” offered valuable insights into this important topic. Noreen and Bria, pictured here, presented their work at the INS 2025 event in New Orleans. The INS is dedicated to promoting the international and interdisciplinary study of brain-behavior relationships throughout the lifespan. We are incredibly proud of our Doctoral Internship Program for fostering remarkable knowledge and relationships!
