SUSPICIOUS E-MAIL ALERT September 4, 2024 Re: Phishing E-mails We have been informed that a number of our customers have received phishing e-mails from scammers pretending to be John Luhrs for Canto USA. A scammer has created a fake e-mail address of j*luhrs@outlook*com and is sending e-mails to clients and contacts. Please delete, disregard, and/or forward a copy of the e-mail from this address to us and we will forward to our IT department to investigate. We take information security very seriously and ask that you also be vigilant in order to prevent fraud and to help protect our common interests. Here are a few precautions to take: 1. Confirm the sender’s identity before replying to e-mail requests and before opening attachments or clicking on links, even if they appear to come from a legitimate source. 2. Consult your Information Technology department about any phishing attempts. 3. Call us to validate communications originating from Canto USA.
