Our mission is to help clients focus on business growth. The best way we can support this is by building and maintaining worry-free websites. This means really fast websites that are reliable and high-performing. We always seek to fix what already exists before beginning anew, whenever possible. Whatever approach is best for a client's needs, our mission remains the same. And when the designing, fixing or building is done, we use a curated stack of tools to ensure website quality, continuity, and optimization: ?? Quality Assurance → Quality Assurance → When it's time to ship, we use Ghost Inspector for intuitive automated testing so we find problems before you do (and fix them immediately). ?? Data Security → Intruder.io continuously scans and safeguards your website from potential threats. It allows us to find & fix security weaknesses before they become a problem, and protect your site from attacks. ?? Error Monitoring → We provide 24/7 error and uptime monitoring and rapid mitigation with Sentry (real-time error monitoring) and StatusCake (uptime and performance monitoring). ??? Hosting → To support diverse client needs, we develop performant websites on three platforms —Sanity, CraftCMS, and Webflow. Webflow provides an high-quality hosting solution with built-in scalability, security, and performance. We use Netlify to host Sanity sites, and Servd to host Craft CMS sites. These hosting solutions provide direct CMS integrations to ensure security, workflow efficiency, and excellent performance. ?? Content Delivery → A content delivery network makes websites faster, more reliable, and more secure. We use Cloudflare’s CDN. ?? Conversion Rate Optimization → Understanding choke points on your website is step 1 to improving conversion rates, and A/B testing is key to this. We use VWO to A/B test, heatmap behaviors, and optimize based on data, not conjecture. ?? Content Optimization → To improve search rank, we use SEMrush to conduct keyword research, technical SEO audits, and competitor analysis. ? What makes a website great goes beyond great looks; it’s about how well it performs, welcomes your guests, and serves your goals. 关于我们
Cantilever is a web design and development consultancy. If your website is important for your business, you need a dedicated team of experts taking care of it: Cantilever. We work with senior managers who feel under pressure because they spend a lot of time and money on their site, but they aren't getting the results they need. We help by overhauling those sites to meet users' needs better, or by starting fresh with a new site built with our proven process. We're more than a technology company – we're a hospitality company. We believe that websites are spaces that users enter, not billboards they see from a distance. Every day, tens of thousands of people visit the sites we’ve built, and we are passionate about providing a great experience for each and every person. We are obsessed with perfecting and popularizing the art of “Digital Hospitality.” Founded in 2011, we're headquartered in NYC with a distributed team spread across the US and Canada and have worked with clients like American Express, the IMF, Esquire Magazine, and IBM.

?? Every unnecessary hurdle on your website creates friction. Friction hurts your brand, it hurts conversion rates...it HELPS your competitors. For millions who use assistive technology to browse the Web, navigation menus are big hurdles. Yet a really simple fix – the accessibility skip link – can: ? Improve your site’s UX ? Improve SEO potential ? Boost conversion rate Without a skip link, screen reader users must listen as a site nav menu is read out every time they land on a new page. That’s not just frustrating, it’s a barrier to brand engagement and loyalty, not to mention a conversion crusher. And improving accessibility isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s good for business: ?? A $13T market can be unlocked by embracing disability inclusion (Forbes) ?? Companies that prioritize accessibility get 4X share performance compared to competitors (Accenture) ?? Better accessibility enables better SEO (ADA) Adding a skip link is easy and makes a meaningful impact on both user experience and site performance. Want to learn how? Our latest blog post, written by our Lead #Webflow Developer and UI/UX Designer, Pravin Kumar (https://lnkd.in/giJw6wsA), walks you through the how’s and why’s, step by step. The post covers skip link integration into both Webflow sites and those with standard access to HTML. Read the post (link in comments)! #Accessibility #UX

Agencies should lead by example in shaping AI’s role in marketing—fostering responsible practices, ethical data use, and genuine transparency for others to follow. Why? Because consumers reward brands they trust with deeper loyalty and long-term engagement. In an era where #AI is essential for staying competitive, our challenge is to innovate while preserving integrity every step of the way. #WebDesign #DigitalStrategy
This article by Jason Alan Snyder perfectly captures the the conundrum of using AI in marketing: be aggressive and risk your brand trust and legal action, or be conservative and risk getting left behind. What worries me is the continued consolidation of power. If AI is required to be relevant, but also requires significant resources and specialization to operate safely, the opportunity for smaller agencies and consultancies gets tighter and tighter. https://lnkd.in/gzkVbK99

Agree or disagree? Cantilever Strategist Andrew Heins believes AI-generated content used on websites should be labeled. What's at stake? Consumer trust in a brand. Brand loyalty. Business success. Let us know your thoughts in comments below.
We've been talking a lot about AI-generated content and its impact on consumer trust at Cantilever over the past few months. At a gut-level, I feel like AI-generated content needs to be labelled. This study starts to confirm that I'm not alone. This comes down to trust and credibility. By labelling AI-generated images, you communicate to your audience that you can be trusted to tell the truth. Just like how the cereal box says "enlarged to show texture", AI-generated content should be clearly marked.

? Have you ever tried navigating a website using only your keyboard? Or listened to a screen reader describe a webpage? For millions of people, this isn’t an experiment—it’s how they experience the web every day. Yet many websites unintentionally create obstacles that make this experience difficult or frustrating. The business case for uncovering challenges like these is well-established. Websites that prioritize usability for all visitors don’t just become more accessible—they also improve engagement, conversions, and overall user experience. At its core, great design is about empathy. The best solutions come from truly understanding the challenges users face. But what does that look like in practice? Until you experience the web from a different perspective, it’s hard to grasp the barriers that exist. So here’s a simple thought experiment: Try browsing your favorite website using only your keyboard. Then, take it a step further—enable a free screen reader (like NVDA for Windows or VoiceOver for macOS) and listen to how it interprets the page. This small exercise can shift perspectives in a big way. We’re preparing a short series of posts to demonstrate simple fixes to common accessibility issues, so follow us to see what’s coming next. But for now, challenge yourself—experience the web differently today.
