Since 1913 the Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) has represented Canada’s major paint and coating manufacturers, and their industry suppliers, in three primary product categories: architectural paints, industrial and automotive coatings. The industry has more than 261 paint manufacturing establishments in Canada, which translates into annual retail sales valued at more than $19.5 billion and employs directly and indirectly 82,000 employees, and with induced jobs added the number exceeds 130,000. The industry produces direct, indirect, and induced wages/salaries of $7.13 billion; contributes $8.5 billion to Canada's GDP; and pays federal and provincial taxes in the order of $2.9 billion. More than 7,000 retail outlets in Canada sell paint and coatings products, half of which are stores operated by CPCA member companies, the paint, and coatings manufacturers. The other half are the big box stores and others stocked with recognized brands from CPCA member companies. In addition, there are more than 7,500 auto body paint and repair shops across the country. Finally, our members supply directly the coatings required for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in the automotive, aerospace, marine and industrial sectors. The industry is relevant in every sector of the Canadian economy.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Authority Magazine about the lessons I’ve learned over the past year and the values that have shaped my approach to driving meaningful change. We delved into the importance of transparent communication and the need for adaptive strategies, particularly during times of transformation and uncertainty. One of the most impactful insights I shared was my evolving definition of success.? ? For me, success goes beyond traditional KPIs and quotas; it’s about the engagement and energy of the teams I work with. The Azelis Wisconsin Application Lab Team recently dedicated a morning to volunteer at Hunger Task Force, where they rolled up their sleeves to pack boxes filled with nutritious food for low-income seniors. Hunger Task Force?is an?anti-hunger public policy organization in?Milwaukee that works to end hunger?by providing direct food delivery to food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters. With a strong sense of community spirit, team members worked together efficiently, sorting items and carefully assembling the boxes to ensure that each package contained essential supplies. These efforts promoted camaraderie among the team along with making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. By the end of the morning, the team had packed 600 boxes! A big thank you and recognition to all our CASE employees who consistently work as a team to better our communities! ?? #weareazelis #HungerTaskForce
